WE DO NOT NEED ACCEPTANCE
We need equality. Acceptance has the connotation that one group is the dominant or prevailing body, which gives them the power to approve or reject. Asians do not need validation that it’s OK to be Asian. We do not want you to be colorblind, we love our colors. We are proud in our heritage, in who we are, and in what we represent. We are all unique and different. We do not seek to be the same as you, we seek only to be treated the same as you despite our differences.
When you are laboring for others let it be with the same zeal as if it were for yourself.

We are not a “model minority”. Do not allow them to drive a wedge between us with these false narratives. We are not better or worse than any other minority or majority, only different. Our plight is not more or less significant than that of other races, only different. Our fight for equality is not just a battle for ourselves, but for all citizens of America. We want people of all races and backgrounds to join us in our cause.
We are all in this together; we are all on the same side; we are all striving for a prosperous, successful, peaceful nation. It will take efforts from all sides to reimagine and revolutionize a new America. We must surrender the idea that we are in competition with each other. We must forgo the concept that we should be the same as one another. We must dispel any notions that suggest equality needs to be earned or authorized. We must remember that we are all part of the eqAsian, and we are all part of the solution.
